Meet the Choir
Susannah Coughlin - Musical Director
I’ve been a teacher of Music for the past 12 years and in that time I have put on various concerts, led multiple choirs and vocal harmony groups, put on musical theatre productions from scratch and directed many plays. I love singing and have sung in concerts and in choirs from a young age.

I have been in function and covers bands in the past as a lead singer and a part of the City of Birmingham Choir where I performed at the Symphony Hall on several occasions.
My passion is creating harmonies and I often arrange my own harmony parts for my school choirs as
the majority of students don’t read music, therefore I teach through call and response. I also enjoy
teaching to score and working with singers to create the sound and quality they are capable of.
I believe singing should be for pleasure and enjoyment and that’s what I strive for in any group I work with.
Peter Flower Accompanist

On moving to Birmingham in 1998, Peter undertook studies at Birmingham Conservatoire. From 2000 to 2010 he was accompanist for The Fellowship Singers of Shirley and has also undertaken engagements with The Windmill Singers of Southam. Peter worked as a freelance musician until 2006, when he joined the artistic faculty of Elmhurst School for Dance in Birmingham, as a ballet accompanist.
