About Wythall Community Choir
The idea for a Community Choir came from a member of St Mary's church, back in September 2012. A volunteer investigated and subsequently found our first choir leader, Alex Norman, a choir master and organist, classically trained at the Conservatoire in Birmingham.

56 lovely people came on the first practice, and the rehearsals and concert on 22nd December 2012 was a success and also great fun!

10 years on we now have a new Choir Leader, Susannah Coughlin and we are enjoying a different style of singing.

While Suzi is on maternity leave we have found another excellent choir leader in Neavan Lobban.

The Choir meets at the Scout HQ in Wythall Park each Monday in the school term with rehearsals starting at 7.15pm. We have a 10 minutes break for refreshments and we close at 9.30pm. Each rehearsal costs £4 and all music is provided

We usually hold a Christmas concert, a summer fundraising concert and take part in Christmas Community Concerts. We love to sing and perform.

We also have a 'Small Choir' which is an informal choir led by our Small-Choir Coordinator. This smaller choir sings at carnivals, at care homes, at local events. Please contact us via Facebook if you want to know more.
